I didn't get myself into too much financial trouble during the Jets/Steelers game, but I did have to barter again. This time I said if my Steelers won, I would be absoultely nice to EVERYONE the next day at work. I think it would have been easier to go into hock, but I lived up to my part of the deal. And Phil has to buy a t-shirt.

So we're excited about the Super Bowl, and we're hoping that Phil's moms can come up and watch the game with us, so we had to hurry in a Time Off request at work. I was honest and put on the form that our team had made it to the Super Bowl and that we'd like the day off to watch it with our family. And at the bottom of the form, I wrote GO STEELERS. What I didn't know is that our scheduling manager is from Wisconsin. Ooops.

And I'm not making any friends at work either because when a guy in a Packers jacket and cap came through the door of my store today, I yelled "GO STEELERS!" He stopped dead in his tracks and his family gasped. He came into the store, though, and actually bought something. When he came up to the register, he asked me if I was really a Steelers fan, and I said "Sure am" and pointed to my Steelers necklace, and I went on to say, "And if you say that you hope the Steelers win the Super Bowl, I'll give you a discount." He didn't take me up on my offer. I thought it was generous.
