Going Wii-Wii

Sorry, no time for blogging anymore. Wii rewarded a hard’s season’s work by buying a Nintendo Wii. I’ve never been much for video games, but I must say I’ve been having a heck of a time with this thing. Wii may never go outside again. So if the RV’s rockin’, don’t bother knockin’; wii’re wii-ing.

And I’m just kidding about the no blogging thing. Phil’s moms will be here soon, so wii’ll have plenty to write about. I just hope you all with stay with us through another year in Skagway. That’s right. Wii’re repeating once again. But third time’s the limit. Wii promise. And there’s still the sugar beet blogs to look forward to.

So when you break away from Phil’s moms (or more likely the Wii)… are we going to hear the Alaskan point of view on the Sarah Palin story that’s been flooding our airwaves with “small-town this” and “Alaskan that”? I’m curious to hear what the locals are saying! Loved the bear pictures! Didn’t ya just wanna take one home to cuddle with!?

Does it come with Wii Salmon Fiishing? I bet that would be fantastic. And what’s up with Sarah “Don’t Call Me Michael” Palin? Seriously, it’s a lot of ‘tude coming from someone nobody outside Juneau heard of two weeks ago. “Preachin’ abstinence, raisin’ grandbabies” : new Republican motto

Skagway is more conservative than I expected it to be, so the Palin signs are in the windows and most of the locals I’ve heard from are jazzed about her getting the nomination. My immediate boss is a Democrat, however, and a woman, and she’s flabbergasted, frustrated and freaked at the choice. And what we all should be asking ourselves is how she’d do as President. I mean, come on, McCain is 72. There’s a good chance she’d be running the show sometime over the next four years. But as a good website administrator who doesn’t want to get into a heated political debate on my site, I will leave it at that.

Wii Wii Weeeee! Wii is awesome. It does have a fishing game but it’s not as good as the real thing. My question: how did you get a wii? You can’t even get them in civilization and hou got one up there?

Plenty to be had in Whitehorse, Canada, eh? Our boss was heading that way and asked if we needed anything, and we said a Wii. We didn’t have high hopes because no one around here had any (Juneau, Skagway or Haines), but she dropped it off that night. And it was cheaper than we found them on the internet.
