Two pugs, two cats, two people and endless roads.

The Amazing Spider-Pug

I gotta make this fast - my pizza dough is done and I have to go beat it into submission. Just a few quick notes. We got our truck back, and it ended up not costing $3,000. It cost us $4,000. Luckily we have no kids, because Santa wouldn't be visiting us this year. Ha ha. But it's good to have The Beast back. We can go back to running over hydrants and things again.

I got my computer back too. It seems to be working ok. We'll see. I'm still using Phil's, though, because he's taken over my desk and hasn't moved yet. Hmpfff.

Since I've been coming in early to work and waiting around for Phil in the evening, I've gotten to experience both sunrise and sunset. Sunrise isn't until 7:30 a.m., and the sun sets around 5:15 p.m., so it's a short window.

And this is our little store all decked out for Christmas. Decorating the tree was hard because we were only supposed to put product we sell on it, but we squeaked a few ornaments on there as well.

Notice Rudolf the Red-Nosed Elk there in front.

And last, but not least, we had a surprise visitor the other day. I caught some movement on the ceiling out of the corner of my eye. And when I looked up, I saw this guy:

Wolf Spider

I made sure I got the light fixture in there for scale. I was so proud of myself - I did not scream. I did, however, say "HOLY SHIT!" in front of a few customers. Phil and I called him Spider-Pug because if you get a close look, he's sort of fawn and black, just like Willoughby. He was sort of cute, but I kept a close eye on him. I didn't want to look up and not find him on the ceiling, because then I would have been just freaked out not knowing where he was. At least we know why there's been no mice around lately. We think this guy's been eating them.

But anyway, he's a Wolf Spider, and he's not the biggest they've ever seen, but he was a good size. I'll end this with a couple more pics of him so you can all have good dreams tonight.

Holy moully, gacamoli, Spider Woman!! There is a theme happening in the family. We ended up naming and Christening our new rig Charlotte for Charlottes Web. Friday we had party with champagne and the works for the ceremony. Next morning I found a spider in our bed when I went to make it up!

moully gacamoli....is that French-Mexican? yup, definitely a spider theme. A co-worker found a black widow in our bathroom today and screamed for one of the attorneys to help. He picked it up and brought it to his office to keep it safe. Sounds like a lawsuit to me!
