Wicked Fun
Sue:
Phil and I went to Kansas City, Missouri, last night to see the musical Wicked. If you don't know the story, Wicked the novel by Gregory McGuire borrows from L. Frank Baum's Wizard of Oz and tells the story from the witches' perspectives. Elphaba is the Wicked Witch of the West, her sister Nesarrose is the Wicked Witch of the East, and Elphaba's college roomate is Galinda (Glinda) the Good. The book is pretty darn entertaining, and theĀ musical didn't disappoint. As is usally the case, I preferred the book, but they did a really good job coverting novel to musical. The performances were incredible and the sets were amazing. All in all, a wicked good time was had by all.
A picture of my program:

There would have been more pictures of Kansas City, but when I pulled out my camera to take some, I noticed that it had been on for who knows how long and the battery was dead. It was dark by the time we got there anyway, so the picures would not have been any good, but just so you know I tried.
It's back to work tomorrow. Remember how I wrote before that we knew so many people this year? Well, only two couples are left. Everyone else didn't like the job and left. Oh well. Such is life. And we know we'll see them again down the road.
