KOA near Augusta, ME
This KOA was our first campground with our fifth-wheel. Fortunately the gravel sites are level and relatively easy to maneuver into and out of. The campground came under new ownership a few years ago and they have made a lot of positive changes to the place. A few yards down the hill is a fun lake we went canoeing and swimming in. If you are looking for a mellow campground away from Maine's busy tourist areas, we would recommend this one.
We passed straight through Massachusetts last time. Maybe we will get to stop next year.
